Our Story
Every story has a beginning. This is ours…
Through the Incarnation Jesus experienced all the suffering known to humanity. In response to His redemptive work on the Cross, we are called to be the Body of Christ to a suffering world. We acknowledge God is the Healer in all things.
Our role as caregivers is to humbly, on our knees, bow in prayer before the Father, asking forgiveness for our own sins and healing for our own brokenness. Then we ask God to give us His Spirit to go with us as we be the Face of God to a hurting world.
It is not enough for the Church to lay a research-based template of what we know of the neurobiology of trauma, abuse, and neglect onto our ministry. We must also bring to bear our knowledge, understanding, and experience of God, His Incarnation and Redemption, Scripture, grace, forgiveness, hope, and joy to those He places in our path, whether they are in our pews or live in the communities where we serve.
